About host
We're four generations of carpenters, artists, seamstresses, and gardeners, sharing 10 acres of land between the mountains and the ocean on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island.
This is a working farm still finding its shape. We've just finished building our dream home - heated by geothermal loops from our own pond, powered by solar, and running on a composting toilet system - and we're slowly regenerating the land around it, with food forests and small animal husbandry on the horizon. We're not there yet, and we like sharing the process as much as the finished picture: seasonal eggs from our hens, firewood when the fire season allows, and the quiet satisfaction of watching land come back to life.
Alongside the farm, our family runs Dream Threads Studio, where Navit designs and sews one-of-a-kind West Coast kimonos, robes, and natural clothing - on-site and worth a visit even if you're not staying the night.
